About Lighthouse Hideaway
The story behind Lighthouse Hideaway began when my wife Deb and myself Pat Jordan had a simple desire to share our beautiful location in Cape Foulwind with guests and to meet new people. We wanted to create a unique bed and breakfast experience that allows visitors to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of this area.

More to Explore in Cape Foulwind
Besides the cycle trail, walking tracks, beach, and seals, Cape Foulwind has so much more to offer. Down on the beach across the road, you'll find the hole in the rock and the iconic Steeples. Around the headland is where Captain Cook sought shelter from a storm, naming it Cape Foulwind.
A nice meal with a good wine selection can be found one kilometer at our local Star Tavern
We are situated at the beginning of the lighthouse walking track, which takes you to the seal colony, and Tauranga Bay, recognized as one of the West Coasts best surf breaks. it takes you along the tops of coastline giving you awesome views of the Tasman sea and rugged coastline and beaches. Once there you can choose to come back the same way and give those legs a workout or continue the loop and come back on the walking / cycle trail.
